If you’re a working pregnant woman, life can be tad more hectic and stressful for you. It is very important for you to take care of yourself at work because you’ll be spending most of your day there. Amidst the hustle and bustle of work you must take out time for yourself and your baby, we give you 5 ways to take care of yourself while at work. Read on!

1. Eat your Meals, Drink water!

You might be really busy with work and might have a very tight schedule but you must realise that pregnancy in itself is a major responsibility. Nutrition is one of the most neglected aspect when it comes to pregnant working women. You must never skip meals also, don’t shy away from visiting the water cooler frequently.

2. Take Frequent Breaks

Never sit at one place for more than one hour. Swelling and pain are very common issues during pregnancy and they may increase if you spend most of your day sitting on a chair. So keep moving!

3. Ask For Help

There is no shame in asking for help when you’re pregnant. If you suffer from morning sickness or are often late at work due to lack of sleep, then ask your boss if he/she can allow you to work from home or if he/she can make your hours flexible.

4. Avoid Sites that are under Maintenance

There are always areas that are under construction/maintenance in an office. These areas might be dusty or maybe exposed to hazardous chemicals that may harm your health. Always avoid such sites.

5.  Don't Lift Heavy Objects

No matter how urgent it is, no matter how late you’re getting, DO NOT EVER LIFT HEAVY STUFF. Ask for help around.

Have a great day at work, and if you feel uncomfortable don't forget to share with your colleagues around or take a holiday.

Expecting parents can support their baby's brain development before birth through seven key strategies: maintaining a nutritious diet rich in essential nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, iron, and folate; staying active with moderate, healthcare provider-approved exercise; creating a stress-free environment through relaxation techniques; stimulating the baby’s senses with sounds, such as talking and music; ensuring adequate Vitamin D levels through sunlight exposure or supplements; keeping hydrated to support amniotic fluid and blood flow; and getting plenty of rest to support fetal growth and manage stress. These practices lay a strong foundation for the child's future cognitive abilities, including learning, memory, and emotional regulation.
